Thanks to everyone who stopped by and spent time with me at Automobilia 2019. I sincerely appreciate your interest in my art and I hope to be illustrating one of your favorite rides in the near future. A special thanks to Doug Buchanan from Garage Graphics who was nice enough to put up with me for another year.
I’ve been back from Monterey and a fabulous 2019 event for a couple of months now and most of my time has been spent playing some serious catch up on projects that needed attention as well as unpacking all of the show gear. That said, I did find time to post up a few images from the show as well as a sprinkling of the cars that participated in the Monterey Concours Run on Thursday morning.
If you’re a “car guy” and somehow have never been to Monterey Motor Week you owe it to yourself to get there at least once. I’ll confess to not being a big fan of the Pebble Beach Concours event but there is so much else to do—several auctions going on downtown, the annual Monterey street show, the Automobilia show, vintage racing on Friday and Saturday at Laguna Seca and, my personal favorite, the annual Concours Running that starts out on 17-Mile Drive. Most of these events are free. To top it all off, there’ some spectacular dining to be had in the area and, if you still want to do more, I’d encourage you to take a drive up or down the coast. The scenery is spectacular.
