Alfa Romeo Tipo 33
After years of trying and finishing second in the World Championship for Makes in 1974, Alfa Romeo finally took the title in 1975 with Tipo 33 TT/12 winning seven out of the eight races contested that year. The Delta Auto designed 1975 Tipo 33 TT/12 sported a three litre, flat 12 making 500 bhp with an F1 style air box intake, added the year before at the Monza 1000 km event. Alfa found perfection two years later with the Tipo 33 SC12 driven by Arturo Merzario, Jean-Pierre Jarier and Vittorio Brambilla winning every race in the World Championship for Sports Cars.
