Prior to the introduction of the 100-6 in 1956, looking for more power in the 100, Donald Healey began experimenting with an in-line six version. With the new, more powerful engine installed, the BN2 was shipped off to Jensen where it was lengthened and a pair of occasional seats added. While the BN3 never made it into production, in 1956 the BN4 did and, because the additional seating never found full favor with the Healey, the true two-seat BN6 was introduced in 1958, both giving way the following year to the re-tooled 3000.
My Sports Car Art Austin-Healey 100-6 Evolution print shows the development of the series from original BN3 design mule of the BN6, the last of the true two-seaters. Each illustration based on my original cutaway artwork of the same cars. Evolution prints are sized 22″ x 29″ and are printed on high definition, art quality matte paper using naturally pigmented inks for rich, vibrant color.
