Jaguar XJ13
The XK13 may be the most beautiful LeMans prototype to never have been raced. Developed to challenge Ford and Ferrari at LeMans, the XJ13 prototype became the victim of its lengthy development when changes in the rules limited engines to 3 litres, making the 5 litre mid-engine power plant obsolete before it ever turned a competitive lap. Destroyed during a testing session at MIRA, the original car was placed in storage where it was discovered by Edward Loades and eventually rebuilt to near original specifications using many of the same jigs. This XJ13 remains on display at the British Heritage Museum. My original 38″ x 89″, aluminum framed art remains available for sale (inquire directly if interested) along with 5 very limited edition, signed and numbered reproductions. Prints are available on archival paper sized 16″ x 32″ (framed or unframed) or on brushed aluminum using translucent ink sized 23″ x 47″.
