Triumph TR7
The TR7 was and possibly still is one of the most under appreciated and undervalued British sports cars, even though it was, in fact, the best selling single model of any of the LBCs. Whatever it’s difficulties, in many respects the Wedge was ahead of its time both in design and engineering. The shape alone remains a bold styling statement even by modern standards and the standard equipment list included amenities that were certainly not “standard” for the day. The Triumph advertising of the period announced, almost prophetically, that the TR7 was the “Shape of things to come.” Indeed, if one wanted to accessorize their TR7, other than a selection of wheels and luggage rack, there were few options that had not already been included in the base models.
